Events
Annual subscription of £5 is due at the first meeting
of the season. This may be paid on attendance or direct to the Membership
Secretary. This annual subscription covers free entry to all Anster Nichts,
but not the Buffet Supper. Non-members may attend individual meetings
for £1.50. All Anster Nichts are held in the Anstruther Wester
Town Hall at 7:30 p.m.

The red roofs of the East Neuk are a distinctive
and much-loved feature of our townscape. Jim Bell will talk about the
pantiles themselves
and touch on the former Tile Works at Caiplie.

Ideas, Ink and Deadlines: Jill Calder
Jill, with 17 years illustration
experience, works with some of the best people in design and advertising,
producing her unique images. She
loves the deadline adrenalin rush. Her job allows her to concept,
draw, experiment, play with all sorts of lovely inks, pencils and paper.
Her talk gives an insight into the thoughts and processes that go
into
creating memorable images for demanding clients.

The Harbours of Elie Bay: Archie Rennie
Elie wasn’t always just a pleasant summer resort; Archie Rennie’s
recent book uncovers the history and location of its several working
harbours.
The Playfair Family of St Andrews: Dr Marion Stewart
This fascinating,
versatile and high-achieving family originated in Perthshire, but during
the 19th century their influence was felt from St Andrews
to Zanzibar.
Scottish Silver: Rodger McAslan
Rodger has an extensive knowledge of his
subject; he will be happy to identify pieces but cannot give valuations.

Yes, there is more to Fife than
the coast and Paula will show us some of the delights to be found inland.

of operating outside the mainstream film industry.
